🌸 Finding Calm in Chaos — My Self-Care Journey Through Uncertainty

When I first started Bombshell Cosmetics, it wasn’t just about bath bombs, whipped soaps, or body butters — it was about finding a little calm in the middle of chaos.

Like many people, I was going through a difficult time with my health. There were endless appointments, waiting, and worry and it's ongoing, I'm awaiting results to tell me if I have cancer or something else and the waiting can feel endless. Add to that being unable to go out to work and the result can be plenty of time to fret, worry and drive yourself crazy— the kind of uncertainty that quietly takes over your thoughts. I needed something to focus on, something that felt good again.

So I started creating.

It began with simple experiments — colours, scents, textures. Mixing ingredients, watching bath bombs fizz, or seeing a swirl of pastel foam bloom in water brought me a kind of peace I hadn’t felt in months.

There was something grounding about it all. The scent of vanilla or jasmine, the feel of soft butter melting into my skin — it reminded me that life could still be gentle, still be beautiful, even in hard moments.

Every product I made became a small act of care — a message to myself:

 “You’re still here. You can still create something lovely.”

Bombshell Cosmetics grew from that space — not from a business plan, but from the need to heal. Creating became my therapy.

On days when my mind raced or my body felt tired, I’d turn to blending oils or shaping bath bombs. It gave me focus, purpose, and a touch of joy. And when friends tried them and smiled, I realised something: these weren’t just products — they were moments of calm that could be shared.

🌿 Why Self-Care Matters

Self-care isn’t always spa days or fancy treatments. Sometimes, it’s the quiet five minutes you spend breathing in your favourite scent, or running a warm bath after a long day. It’s about giving yourself permission to pause.

That’s what I want Bombshell to represent — affordable luxury that makes you feel cared for, even in life’s uncertain moments. Because we all deserve a little softness.

Bombshell Cosmetics has become so much more than I expected. It’s a collection of colours, scents, and feelings — but also a story of resilience.

Every time someone tells me my products helped them relax or lifted their mood, it reminds me why I began. Out of something uncertain came something meaningful. Out of worry came creativity.
